balanced stay
helpful staff quiet room excellent bedding restaurant service food runners average breakfast
the breakfast was great. the staff was always helpful and pleasant. i loved that the room was very quiet and comfortable. the bedding and pillows were excellent (i slept like a baby!).
attention to detail seemed lacking. i noticed the restaurant service felt less skilled. the waiting team acted more as food runners.

Lovely Stay!
friendly staff dog sitter fun chambermaids attentive bar staff
The staff knew my name. They were friendly. The dog sitter recommendation was excellent. The chambermaids clearly had fun with our dog when they tidied our room. The bar staff were attentive!!!
I found that I was constantly contending with having my chair bashed by the chair of the man behind and the noise level was high.
Service
9/10
Every member of staff was warm and genuinely interested in making our stay special. The team could not have been more accommodating. Every request was handled effortlessly and always with a smile!!!
Dining
10/10
Food in the restaurant was amazing. The lamb, sharing steak, and beef sandwiches at lunchtime were all highlights. The food there was hearty. Cheryl.
Location
9/10
The location offers fresh air and total relaxation. I enjoyed a walk through the grounds down to the beach. This is really worth it. The coast is nearby.
Facilities
9/10
The spa is excellent. Walking to the swimming pool was a great start to the day. They arranged a cart to take us back to our suite in our robes. The grounds are immaculate.
Rooms
9/10
The suite was massive and beautifully furnished. The rooms are luxurious and spacious. Each room has its own unique atmosphere that creates a sense of peace. It was super clean.

croquet apartment croquet lawns beautiful hotel smooth check-in
i enjoyed my time in this BEAUTIFUL hotel. check-in occurred smoothly with paris. we got shown to our croquet apartment. the apartment overlooked the croquet lawns.
attention to detail had dropped. the experience felt less curated. small gaps added up. the end result was a dilution of the special factor.
Service

the team was professional. anna, kristie and paris deserve special thanks. lily served our breakfast, so did many more. the service was first class.
Location
