The room included flannels. Cookies greeted me upon arrival. The shower provided good water pressure. Easy parking was available.

great location friendly staff
the location was very nice, super close to everything! the breakfast offered so many options, i could have eaten there all day. our room also had a generous bathroom, i loved it. staff were friendly.
the bar area had a private function one evening, so i couldn't sit there at all! it was definitely a little inconvenient. but the rest of my stay was still awesome, so i didn't mind too much

the staff was very helpful, especially the housekeeping team and bar staff. early check-in was available, so that was great. the staff catered to our needs too.

the breakfast included a vast selection of items! the 1890 restaurant offered every starter, main course, and dessert you could imagine. lunch at the restaurant was awesome, i loved the carvery too.

the hotel is in a great spot for walking around. the building has nice views, i loved it. i found the room to be spacious too. it's easy to get to the center from the hotel.

slow sink drain unconcerned reception
the room was mostly fine, but the sink drained very slowly. i reported it to reception, though they didn't seem particularly concerned! for the price i paid per night, i anticipated better service. also, being a hilton gold member, i was surprised no complimentary water was provided in the room.

location was good it was near the seafront.
i found the room quite dark and lighting was not very good. the shower also had poor pressure, it was never very hot at any time.

mixed feelings about my stay
broken air conditioning broken plug
the hotel's location right by the sea was acceptable. it was convenient for accessing the beach.
the air conditioning didn't work in the room. i reported this to reception, but the maintenance operative couldn't fix it and the staff seemed aware of the issue and sent someone anyway. the plug in the hand basin was also broken, so i couldn't use it properly.

excellent seaside lodging
historic design friendly staff modern elegance clean area
the building features an excellent historic design. the staff displayed friendliness and provided assistance. the structure combines grand historic elements with modern elegance. every area presented itself clean and beautifully maintained.
the garage's entrance proved tricky to locate, and the walk to the hotel with luggage was quite long. the garage ceiling had low points at several locations.

the breakfast selection offered many choices. the buffet catered to diverse tastes, including traditional options alongside fish and veggie dishes. the food tasted excellent.
