Review summary
Based on recent reviews
Powered by AI
Stanley House Hotel & Spa is generally appreciated for its beautiful setting, with some guests specifically mentioning the lovely gardens and convenient location near Clitheroe and Whalley. The spacious rooms, including those in the manor house and room 29 in The Woodlands, often feature comfortable beds, a separate shower, and sometimes offer nice views of the hills; though some found the soundproofing in certain rooms, like those above the conference room, less than ideal due to early morning noise. Many enjoyed the dining experience, particularly the evening meals, while a few found the TV system difficult to navigate.

excellent stay at this PLACE

beautiful groundshelpful staffdelicious fooddust issue
I visited family near the hotel, and the location worked well. The grounds were beautiful, and the staff was very helpful with directions. The food in the restaurant was delicious. i would happily return for another stay.
the cleaning in certain areas needed improvement. I noticed some dust on surfaces and in corners. I believe additional attention here would enhance the overall experience.
Dining
9/10
The restaurant features an extensive menu. It also had a dedicated children's section. The breakfast buffet included pastries, fruit, cereals, and hot items, but the coffee machine needed frequent refills. Tables were promptly cleared.
Rooms
8/10
Our suite included a king-size bed. The room also offered a separate seating area with a sofa and chairs. A large flat-screen television was wall-mounted, but instructions for operation were not immediately available.
Service
9/10
The reception staff was efficient at check-in, providing clear information. Concierge services assisted with luggage and directions throughout the hotel. turndown service was available each evening upon request, a very NICE touch.
Location
10/10
The hotel sits on landscaped grounds, offering walking paths and gardens. The surrounding area features scenic views and QUIET roads for driving. The location is close to public transport.

The aroma upon entry was a good peppercorn fragrance. i found the room to be very clean, which i appreciate. the thermal suite in the spa was a highlight. I was happy with it.
the service was slow in the brasserie, it took a significant amount of time for our drinks and meals to arrive. it wasn't what i expected from an upscale place.
Facilities

The bedroom was large. It included a very comfy bed. a separate shower and bath were in the bathroom, which also had white fluffy towels. the thermal suite at the spa provided a happy experience.
