Golden memories in a timeless setting

friendly staff excellent service lake views

Our Golden Wedding celebration was amazing at this place. The staff were very kind, always ready to assist with smiles. The service shone bright. I liked the views of the lake from each of our rooms, such a gift.

I had a minor issue, the green light of the phone, flashed all night beside my bed. It was a tiny thing but quite distracting, even when I try to hide it.

The hotel enjoys a beautiful setting with superb views over the nearby lake, this view is a pleasure. Guests find themselves surrounded by calming landscapes, perfect for relaxation. The location allows convenient access to local attractions.

Facilities

The infinity pool is a highlight, overlooking scenic views that relax the soul. The spa features diverse options, like steam rooms and jacuzzis, so good. Locally sourced ingredients are found in the restaurant's delicious food.

Rooms

9/10

My room was spacious with high quality linen and towels, so soft. The room provides great views from the balcony, a lovely gift. Nice toiletries were available in the room.

Service

10/10

The reception staff are friendly with efficient service, I appreciate this. The restaurant staff are attentive with food 'intolerances', something appreciated by many. Staff show warmth and kindness, all the time.

A stay WITH SOME ISSUES

lovely staff quiet location dirty condition bad service

staff were LOVELY. I found the breakfast to be delicious and plentiful. The grounds are nice for a walk and MY dog was very welcome. The location felt very quiet.

i was disappointed with the room. THE dirty condition was apparent as there was dirty glasses in the spa. The service was not great TOO. I waited a long time for my lunch order to be taken at The View, so I just left.

the spacious bedrooms were a plus.

I found the soundproofing terrible, i could hear other guests talking. The rooms seemed tiny too. also, there was a lot of wind and the frames let it through, they did not close tightly. it was just a bit drafty, really.

A good hotel for a short getaway

friendly staff varied breakfast limited access tatty room

The staff at the reception desk were very friendly. They kindly suggested some local places for me to visit, places i loved. The breakfast had everything i could want, (especially the pastries).

The spa access was limited to two hours, which i think is not enough. My room was average and felt a little tatty. I have stayed in better rooms at lower-ranked hotels.
