Dinner felt overpriced and the food took far too long. It was more than 90 minutes. i received some complimentary drinks because of this delay, but i would have preferred quicker service.

the bedroom was spacious and clean i stayed in a nice quiet corner it was just what i wanted. the grounds are well maintained the inside is clean and tidy. the staff were polite at reception the room was comfy and tidy.
i booked dinner bed and breakfast as a little treat for my daughter and me. on arrival i was told i had to put down a 50 pounds fee for drinks this would be transferred back to my account in 4 to 5 working days. i was embarrassed as i wasn't sure if i had this money in my account a warning would have been nice.

i found the check-in quick and easy. the room provided good amenities. breakfast was great with almost everything available.
the prices for food and drinks in the bar have considerably risen since my last stay. this led us to eat elsewhere for most nights of our four-night stay.

The service charge was not obvious on the bar menu. The print was too small. this made the drinks more expensive than expected.
