i attended the starry starry night experience. it included a talk and supper with cosmologist mark westmoquette. i learned stories of the constellations as he pointed them out with a special torch.
the dinner menu felt dated. i thought it was overpriced. the sauces used in the salads were unappetizing (almost like mayonnaise).

the tea and coffee service was not good. it cost a lot for so little, around £17.50 for one tea and one coffee. there were just a couple of biscuits included. the room where we sat was tiny and dull with mismatched furniture.

this hotel become a favourite for me. i love each room is unique. grounds are lovely. food in the tapestry restaurant was delicious. service was perfect. the spa provides a very elegant space for swimming and relaxing. i found the entire stay sumptuous and luxurious. i am grateful for my experience.
i noticed some minor outdated decor and furniture in the accommodation, specially sofas showed some wear.

my climping room in the main house had character. it featured a refurbished large bathroom with a slipper bath. there also was a large walk in shower. robes and flip flops are provided. the room has thoughtful touches such bars of soap.

i found the dining experience superb for both dinner. breakfast also had range of options. the hotel uses crisp white tablecloths. i appreciated napkins and candles in the restaurant. the food was excellent and had good choices.

the hotel grounds are massive for long walks. it is worth the effort to visit to the beach and woods. different accommodation properties exist. the grounds are full of character. the hotel transports guests into a beautiful medieval village.

The medieval windows made the rooms dark. Lighting was necessary at all times. The corridors and stairs in the two main buildings were poorly lit. Stairs were potentially dangerous.
