fantastic stay!
room upgrade restaurant recommendation food quality spa facilities
the room upgrade was a great surprise. the reception staff provided local restaurant recommendations. the food quality particularly impressed me. the spa facilities offered a relaxing experience for everyone.
the sauna could have been hotter, it wasn't quite up to my usual preference but still provided some relaxation..

The hotel provided a nice range of dinner options. I particularly enjoyed the hoisin beef rib starter. afternoon tea included a carrot cake and scones. the breakfast options were plentiful for everyone.

the room was very clean, spacious, and comfortable with a good layout. the bedding was amazing with perfect pillows. i slept so well and the facilities were modern. the room included tea and coffee.

joyful experience swift course poor assistance horrendous noise
the staff in the restaurant were lovely and kind. Mohi was smiley. Food was delicious too. all courses came out swiftly!
i contacted the hotel one day before arrival. I had a query regarding a pending amount but did not receive assistance. During my stay on saturday night at around 1am the noise was horrendous from outside the hotel reception.

Underwhelming stay. Some issues need addressing.
unexpected charge card payment
The room felt spacious and comfortable.
There was an unexpected extra charge upon arrival. They only accepted card payments. I found this unhelpful. The cost also showed up on my bank statement in separate parts. It was like I paid more than expected. I was disappointed by this.

TV Issues and Unexpected Charges
non-functional tv unexplained charge
I reported a non-working TV to reception, but no one came to fix it. Then, the shower had no hot water. I reported this too, but again, no one arrived. A knocking noise from the ceiling kept me awake most of the night. I was also charged an extra £75 at check-in. This was supposed to be a holding amount, but it came out of my account and hasn't been refunded yet.

The room included a large bed and soft pillows. I found the swimming pool practical for exercise. The children's playground seemed to be well maintained and safe.
The evening meal was microwaved and dry. Breakfast was lukewarm. There was poor milk availability at breakfast.
