My Gibson room was amazing. I had a great view over the gardens. Multiple lighting options are available, from in-bed lighting to wall lights. Breakfast was good and had everything I needed.
I found the parking fee a bit unexpected, though it wasn't a major issue.

The location had excellent views. Decor was stylish. The dinner presented well and tasted delicious in the lovely setting. Breakfast included a traditional full English and plenty of options.
The room I stayed in needed more attention to cleanliness, especially in public areas with dirty carpets.

The grounds surrounding the location looked excellent despite the stormy weekend, so exploring was still possible. The place had preserved historic features adding to its charm. It was a warm and reasonably quiet area.

the menu was printed on a large card. the card looked like something you would find in a motorway cafe. i felt this cheapened the experience.

the spacious room size met my basic expectations.
the absence of air conditioning was a significant problem during a hot period. furthermore, the toilet became blocked, inconvenient. i found the grounds are publicly accessible, and this diminished the sense of exclusivity for hotel guests.
