The staff there were also polite and helpful. food and drinks were very good!
i found a tile slightly loose on the bathroom floor. it's a minor detail, but worth noting.

fantastic dog-friendly getaway!

good hamperwoodland walksprivate breakfastmissing beetroot
the hotel welcomed my dog with a good hamper filled with goodies, a really nice surprise (i wasn't expecting that level of care). nearby woodland walks were plentiful, and the staff even arranged a private breakfast table for us so my dog could join us. i really appreciated how the housekeeping team quickly found my husband's wedding ring after he left it behind and posted it back the same day!
the main restaurant did not have good options for a vegan diet, so i had to eat at the on-site pub. my beetroot and falafel salad had no beetroot, just lots of lettuce (what a letdown!).

nice selectionsevere rustdifficult layout
the breakfast was quite good with a nice selection.
I found the spa area quite disappointing. rust covered most of the pillars, a leak stained the ceiling, and the wooden architrave looked to be rotting.. the disabled changing room's layout made it nearly impossible for me to maneuver my wheelchair inside. I had to get out of it just to enter. this design flaw.
