i found my standard double room to be very clean. it also had lovely colors. the exterior of the building looked grand. the landscapes around the hotel were lovely (i enjoyed a stroll).

the bar seemed expensive. two pints of beer cost £13.40.

the setting is beautiful. the location is in very quiet surroundings. the grounds offer tame peacocks that wander freely adding to the charm. it provides great views across the north west region.

my standard double room included hot drink facilities. the room overlooked the golf course. i also had a fan, an iron with an ironing board, and a hairdryer available. the stylish paintings added to the room's appeal.

the staff at reception were helpful, even when busy. i received attentive service at the cafe. the team were very good too ensure a nice experience (especially at the spa). the breakfast buffet was well-stocked.
