i found the location directly on my route and easy to find. beautiful grounds allowed me to exercise my doggy companion. the staff were very cute and helpful, and my dog was genuinely welcome, not just tolerated.
The bed and pillows were solid. I didn't sleep well the first night. all chairs in the room were uncomfortable. the toilet seat didn't fit correctly. Someone could easily fall off.

The hotel grounds were lovely. I walked around taking pictures. the room was comfy and warm. It reminded me of a real escape from the cold. the location was very good. It made exploring the surrounding area so easy.
The bathroom radiator was so hot. I accidentally burned my arm.

The room was well-kept and presented! the spa seemed very relaxing and peaceful. the hotel itself was very clean. It. nice quality towels were in the bathroom. They were soft and luxurious, so nice after a shower.

Breakfast had a very good choice. The variety was very nice. the fish and chips were delicious one evening! the tartar sauce was possibly the best i've ever had. It was so very tasty, a real treat for the senses.

i enjoyed the staff, they were so helpful. frances helped me with my bags when i had my hands full. she even got milk for the baby twice and was super discreet when delivering room service. i stayed in a king room and there was plenty of space, even with a travel cot in there.
breakfast was fully booked, and i didn't get to experience it. the sauna was always out of order when we tried to book. it was disappointing since we were hoping for a relaxing treat. having to book every slot is inconvenient.

the hotel features a spa, though i didn't use it. there are beautiful walks all around the hotel to enjoy. i found lovely landscaping and an outdoor seating area for relaxation.

i found the chicken burger from the evening menu was delicious. i also noted the close proximity to cornmill inn, about a 10-minute walk. aldi and home bargains are only about a 2-minute walk.

the staff was amazing, friendly, and efficient at reception. staff member frances was really good and very helpful . i paid extra to have my dog with us during our trip away too.
