The grounds were really beautiful and well kept. The house itself has so much history.. Sarah at reception was so kind and provided a history information pack. It was informative and enjoyable to read.
The inside public areas were not up to my expectations. I found these areas more like a tired 2-star hotel. I expected some nice cozy areas where I could relax and enjoy a book, perhaps around a nice fire or in a library area.
