fantastic stay

beautiful view helpful staff room upgrade great dinners
the hotel upgraded my room, and i think i got the best room. the views were beautiful, and the room had a coffee machine. everyone was kind and helpful, especially during dinners at hardy's bar (i loved those!). i appreciated the dressing gown and couch in the room.
the room lacked sufficient lighting around the mirror in the bathroom, making it difficult to apply makeup.
Rooms
9/10
the junior suite had a spacious layout. it featured a coffee machine and a comfortable couch for relaxation. the provided dressing gown added a touch of luxury to the stay.
Dining
10/10
hardy's bar offers excellent dinners in a relaxed atmosphere. the service was attentive, and the staff ensured a pleasant dining experience. fresh coffee was always available.

underwhelming stay, some issues

weak pressure sealed window
my room had a few noticeable issues. the shower's water pressure was weak. the tv offered a limited selection of only eight channels. also, the sealed window prevented fresh air from coming in. it impacted my overall experience negatively.

Great location Near the Coast

large window spacious bathroom available staff
My room had a large window with an unobstructed view. I appreciated the spacious bathroom. It included separate bath and shower facilities. The front desk staff was available 24/7, ready to assist with any inquiries. I also liked that there was a train station close TO the building.
Furnishings looked old.
Dining
9/10
The breakfast buffet featured many choices, including fresh fruit, pastries, and hot dishes. I also noticed that the restaurant offers a children's menu with smaller portions and kid-friendly options. That was ideal for families.
Rooms
8/10
My sea view room included blackout curtains. These ensured a dark sleeping environment at night. A mini-fridge was available for storing drinks and snacks. The room featured complimentary toiletries, including shampoo, conditioner, and body wash.

decent stay overall

helpful staff bbq chicken loud noise insensitive receptionist
the staff were very helpful. lorraine did a fine job waiting on us for dinner and drinks. she brought us finger bowls after the delicious bbq chicken wings.
i had an issue with noise as there was a band playing late. i rang reception about it for the third time. she asked if i had a baby in the room. i found that quite insensitive.

The hotel location is great. It is near the train station.
I stayed at the hotel for several nights. The cleanliness was not up to my expectations. The sofa had mold, and the rugs seemed quite old.

lovely hotel stay

comfortable room peaceful atmosphere well-equipped bathroom
the room was spacious and comfortable. it was in a quiet part of the building. the bathroom was well-equipped too, always a plus.
i had a slight issue with the check-in time. i arrived a bit early and had to wait until the official time, a little inconvenient as i had plans. hopefully, they can be more flexible in the future.
Service
9/10
the staff was very attentive during breakfast, particularly with gluten-free options. they offered gluten-free toast and cornflakes, showing consideration for dietary needs. the restaurant felt busy, yet service remained quick and helpful.
Rooms
9/10
my classic double room sea view had ample space and a very comfortable bed. two chairs were placed by the window, allowing enjoyable harbor views. the room was kept clean, and the layout was conducive to relaxation.
Location
9/10
the hotel's location is central and near town, providing easy access to amenities. the dart train service to the city center is quite close. being able to quickly reach the city is useful.
Facilities
8/10
