the spa experience was very relaxing. i enjoyed the herbal tea and shortbread provided in the relaxation room after my massage. eva, my spa therapist, explained the massage treatment thoroughly. the relaxation room was beautifully decorated with a relaxing water fountain. i am thankful.
i requested wine and chocolates in the room prior to arrival, but they were not there initially. it seemed like an afterthought when they were brought later.

the rooms had GOOD space. a comfortable bed was available and i found that to be important. the corner shower provided was also great.
the check in was complicated i think. i was immediately hit with surcharges and had to book a slot for breakfast. none of my preferred time slots was available though.

the hotel was wonderfully decorated. the staff were always friendly and willing to help, especially with directions. the food at the edge restaurant was really good, with delicious choices. i also enjoyed a couples treatment at the cara spa, with mary t & bronagh providing excellent service.
the room showed some signs of needing updates , particularly in the bathroom fixtures.

The boathouse offered beautiful views of the water during meals. the breakfast buffet included both hot and cold items. Many were locally sourced. there was a wide selection of teas and coffees available at breakfast.

The staff at the main desk were very friendly and helpful . Staff from the main desk to the bar staff were also very helpful. I had a quiet room despite two weddings occurring at the hotel . The meals I had were excellent, and they were served by pleasant and efficient staff.
I found very little outside seating was available, though the weather was amazing.

The hotel is set in a green area that touches the beach. This makes it a relaxing place. The hotel has its own free parking where guests can leave their car without problems. The carpark had plenty of spaces available.

The hotel includes a bar and restaurant. They allow guests to eat in the most comfortable way for every budget and moment. Breakfast offered sea views. This was one of the best moments of the stay!
