spacious room friendly staff room location late reply
My room, a double room, was very spacious and well kept. The food standard is GOOD, and i found the staff SO friendly and cute.
My room was quite far to walk from the lift, and i asked for a room close to the lifts in my request. The special request was replied to LATE and didn't address the request i was making.

a nice stay!
soft towel ample choice
the bath towels were notably soft and thick. i appreciated that they differed from the thin, scratchy towels i often find elsewhere. the breakfast choices were ample and diverse.
I ordered a pint, but the barman seemingly forgot about it. This caused an unnecessary delay. he then told me he had forgotten about finishing pouring it, which i was a bit taken aback at!

the hotel features a grand hallway. a nice sit down fancy meal can be had, or you can choose a separate pub style dinner. the hotel also includes an appealing bar area.

small television sewage odor
I found some aspects of my stay less than satisfactory. The television in the room was quite small. there was a noticeable sewage odor, especially in the bathroom. Blocking the plugs only partially helped this problem. I think the hotel should address these issues to improve guest comfort.

Acceptable Stay with Some Issues
The food in the restaurant tasted lovely.
Some of the staff were rude and unfriendly when i arrived with a group. I mentioned this to a waiter who was helpful.

excellent stay
chocolates gift included sauna excellent service
The staff left champagne and chocolates in my room, which faced the canal. i used the sauna, steam room, and hot tub. This was included. the deal covered bed, breakfast, and a two-course meal. the food was beautiful. I appreciated gemma adams' excellent customer service.

The deputy manager provided fantastic customer service. She was very nice and helpful. a server brought homemade shortbread decorated for our anniversary. She was lovely and friendly. the staff had entertainment on, a nice addition to the hotel experience.

breakfast included cooked options, and they were very tasty, a pleasant start to the day. the food portions at the evening meal were generous, satisfying my hunger. i thought the food was beautifully presented and delicious.
