The staff were very helpful. The venue had lots of space. The environment and facilities seemed great.
The reception area seemed dated. The hotel room also looked quite tired. It was in the main building. I was like hotel guests were second fiddle to members and non-residents in some areas, and I noticed the cleaning was lacking.

The cooked breakfasts were AMAZING!!! Chefs were constantly refreshing the self-service buffet. The room was very comfy and tidy. Attentive staff maintained it very well. The hotel also has excellent facilities on site.
The hotel felt a little overcrowded at times.

I enjoyed a good lunch with a friend. The carvery was a treat. Both chose the chicken, a generous half with delicious trimmings. A staff member noticed my mobility issues and assisted me, carrying my meal to the table which was very thoughtful. Post-lunch, we admired paintings in a room near the restaurant and heard about the building's history from a staff member, it was fascinating.
My room looked a bit tired. A deep clean and table varnish would freshen things up.
