disappointing room overshadows otherwise adequate stay

rotten frameunstable temperature
The shower temperature fluctuated wildly. It went from scalding hot to ice cold every few seconds, a real nuisance. also, the toilet seemed oddly perched on a platform. it felt unsafe. i wish the room matched the quality of the staff. They really tried their best but the room let everything down. the rotten window frame was another issue.

a good stay!

comfy bedspacious roompolite staff
the building has character, unlike nondescript venues. the room was spacious, had a comfy bed, and provided brew facilities. the wedding suite had nice decoration and the food was good. every member of staff was polite, from reception to the kitchen staff who cooked a top breakfast.
i thought £7 a pint was a bit steep.
Rooms

The location is fabulous, surrounded by fields and sheep. It is a low-key, peaceful setting. we enjoyed woodland walks within the grounds, where we saw pheasants, chiffchaffs, and a hare. there is plenty of free parking.
