Review summary
Based on recent reviews
Powered by AI
The South Causey Inn is frequently praised for its generous food portions, especially in the restaurant, where desserts like cheesecake arrive in unexpectedly large servings. Guests often enjoy the courtyard rooms, some of which are dog-friendly and equipped with pet beds, bowls, and treats, alongside standard amenities like dressing gowns and slippers. The animal corner is a hit with children, providing fun interactions with friendly animals and open grass areas. However, some guests have noted issues regarding deposit refunds. Overall, it is a great location.

The room kettle was scaled inside. Black mold was visible in the shower. I expected a higher level of cleanliness for the price.

inconsistent room quality and service

questionable cleanlinessfaulty door
The room i booked was not up to standard. the cleanliness was questionable, specifically, there was noticeable dust on surfaces. a maintenance issue also arose. The bathroom door did not close properly. these issues detracted from what should have been a relaxing stay, and i expected better for the price i paid.

the restaurant amazed me! the portions are unbelievably generous. i had what seemed like half a cheesecake for dessert instead of just a slice. the staff members were very nice, and my food arrived quickly.
The hotel takes a £50 deposit. It seemed odd, as i'm unsure what it indemnifies against.
