lovely stay at a charming hotel
comfy bedquality linenscute fires
alex AND zephyr greeted us upon checkin, a very nice start. the bed was comfy, and the linens and towels felt of quality. log fires burned warmly in both the bar and lounge, which i greatly appreciated.
the steam room seemed unused, possibly used for storage.

the hotel offers free parking . a small pool is available, though the hot tub was unfortunately out of order . board games were available in the lounge.

the double room featured excellent towels and provided additional amenities. i found an included hairdryer. an iron with an ironing board. toiletries were also provided in the room.

the breakfast had plenty of choices and tasted quite good. varied menus were available, and hearty breakfasts were served each morning. the restaurant provided a range of dishes.

the hotel features views of the river and a great location. a nice walk takes you to a boat to bowness-on-windermere from lakeside, very scenic. the setting is wonderful.

I found friendly staff members ready to help. My spacious, comfy room had a four-poster bed, so luxurious! The restaurant gave good food with a garden view, I watched the sunrise! The swimming pool was a great size, I had so much fun.
The gym was quite small, so I didn't spend much time there.

The room had coffee, tea, and quality biscuits for a treat. An iron and a TV were available. The room was super clean. All things I needed for a comfy stay were there.

The breakfast area was very spacious. Tables were nicely spaced apart. Breakfast included a good choice of cereals, fruit juices, and coffee. The full English hot breakfast was continuously refilled.
