i really enjoyed my stay. ample car parking made arrival easy. i particularly loved the delicious breakfast, especially the porridge with whiskey. it was a super start to each day. the staff were so friendly and helpful throughout the hotel.
my room was okay, however the pillows were not great. they seemed to be designed more for firmness than comfort which affected my sleep. also, the pod coffee in the room tasted bitter and thin, it reminded me of chicory. finally, i had issues with the wifi, it was often slow and unreliable.

sweet staff amazing food comfortable bed long wait black mold tired interior
I found the staff to be sweet. The food was AMAZING!!! The log fires created a very cozy atmosphere. The bed was comfortable, a true delight.
Waiting almost an hour for breakfast was not ideal. I noticed black mold on the window frames in the bedroom. I thought the interior seemed a bit tired and could use some refreshing.

I reminded me of i was coming home. I have been visiting for 25 years. the staff is good and helpful. ryan and his reception team are so lovely, alongside the restaurant bar teams. the food was amazing!!! the beds were cosy. ellie, alexia and steve made my massage heavenly.
I found a steam room. It did not appear to be working. the sauna was full .

the brasserie offers excellent food with perfect service and staff who seem to enjoy their work. i enjoyed dinner in the restaurant and found it really enjoyable. cocktails and tea in the lounge were also first rate.

The spa facilities include a good steam room and a pool with pressure jets. the steam room was nice, also the treatments from sab, olivia, alex and libby. i found a lounge area to sit and have coffee. It was superb.

my room offered a super view of the hills and a beautiful double bed. it had four biscuits in there and a bottle of rioja. clean towels and bathrobes were also provided, in addition to slippers i found in the drawer.

the location allows a walk through into wharfdale directly from the hotel. i found the location to be fine and the grounds are as good as the interiors. jane runs guided walks in the area too.

i found the staff to be genuinely attentive and helpful, addressing any queries i had promptly. the gardens were meticulously kept, offering a tranquil space to unwind. the hotel provided onsite electric car charging, including tesla chargers. the location was splendid for walking, offering both relaxation and focus.
i noticed some areas of the hotel looked a little tired, and some refreshing could improve the overall impression

My room had good quality bedding and offered comfortable accommodation. rooms are all different and quite cosy! the heating was effective. It maintained a pleasant temperature. the windows offered lovely views.

The staff demonstrated great customer service, always mature and experienced. the hotel's dog-friendly policy was managed well, ensuring comfort for all guests. staff seemed to enjoy their work and took pride in their roles. They were very kind.

The reception team gave a genuinely warm welcome. they were friendly and professional. the room itself was beautiful. It was spacious and super clean. we dined in the brasserie. The food was excellent with great gluten-free options.
The spa is small. It had limited seating and compact sauna. there were not enough lockers. they contained used robes and towels. the hairdryers were old and barely functional.

the staff were helpful at breakfast.
the pillows were substandard. they seemed to be polyester fill, designed for firmness rather than comfort. i expect feather or down pillows at this price range. i found no feather or down pillows available anywhere in the hotel.
