mixed feelings about the stay

I found the pre-ordering of food quite odd. we were only a group of eight people. the online check-in process was unnecessarily lengthy. I abandoned it halfway through. our initial room overlooked the kitchen extractor fans. The noise and vibrations were disruptive. we eventually moved to a quieter room, but the shower pressure was minimal. It barely trickled.

The staff provided friendly service .
The room was not satisfactory I found the furniture old and worn. There was only decaf coffee available in the room a detail I found disappointing. The restaurant was also too cold I needed to wear a jacket to be comfortable.

LOVELY STAY at a GRAND hotel

I spent a couple of nights there. The hotel features wooden panelled reception rooms and sumptuous seating. Open fires create a WARM, inviting atmosphere. I found the gardens lovely for walks on different levels, offering views across the bay, something i appreciate it very much. I was able to enjoy the view!
I thought the bar area was a bit TINY. It made finding a seat difficult, especially when tables were reserved for meals. It limited seating options.

The spa offered a thermal journey, and the hotel included lovely gardens for strolling. A walking promenade and a nice park provide outdoor activities NEARBY. I CONSIDERED this a plus for relaxation.

the building showed traditional british style with wood panels. a sweeping staircase was very photogenic. our room was clean, modern. it had a library with a cute bar. the views from the windows were picture-perfect.

lovely getaway

i appreciated the attentive reception staff, who swiftly addressed my needs. the breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of choices, and i especially liked the fresh fruit selection. dinner in the bar area was a pleasant experience, and my dog received treats from the friendly barman. the spa visit was very relaxing, and the hot tubs were a definite highlight.

the location had nice views.
The food was not good, my meal was bland. the bathroom needed some serious tlc. There was gaffer tape around the radiator. i left feeling underwhelmed for the money i paid.
