spacious room nice bathrooms friendly staff
My room was spacious. It had nice bathrooms also. The food was very nice. I found the staff helpful and friendly too. The pool was very clean and easy to access.
My room could use a bit of paint.

confusing signage dry fishcakes
The hotel signage was confusing. There was no clear indication at the entrance that reception was inside. The car park was labeled 'Residents Parking ' so I drove around. I eventually figured out it was also . I booked dinner. The starters were a bit disappointing. The fishcakes were dry.

old decor uncomfortable mattress
the breakfast choices were varied and plentiful.
my room was in a separate building, and the decor seemed a bit old. the mattress had a noticeable dip. maintenance could improve some areas, like the grout in the bathroom, it was falling out.

efficient check-in complimentary upgrade spacious room well-equipped gym
Check-in was efficient. I received a complimentary room upgrade to a garden room. It was an absolute delight. The room was spacious and beautifully furnished with a large bed and seating area. I saw deer in the garden. This was a treat. The corridors looked fresh. The gym is well equipped.
The corridor between changing rooms and the pool wasn't very clean!

The hotel grounds were expansive with ample parking available . It was easy to access main roads from the hotel. This made travel convenient. Nearby attractions included historical sites and nature trails.

Breakfast offered a buffet with both continental and cooked options. The cooked breakfast included eggs cooked to perfection! and I found everything piping hot, even arriving late. The adjacent pub provided a relaxed setting with a selection of ales.

Staff at the front desk were cute and efficient. The breakfast team was pleasant. I appreciated their attentiveness. The hotel efficiently handled a charity event with many guests. This shows excellent organizational skills.

smashing stay!
friendly staff relaxing pub maintained grounds
i found the staff very friendly and eager to assist. the on-site pub offered a great spot to unwind, and i really enjoyed the leisure facilities. i also appreciated the well-kept grounds. it all contributed to a relaxing experience.
the fruit selection at breakfast was somewhat limited.

charming getaway!
garden room peaceful atmosphere deer sighting large bed
the room upgrade to a garden room with a patio was such a treat. it was peaceful, and i saw muntjac deer. i also spotted a red kite and even a great tit (it tapped on the dining room window every morning!). the well chosen things with a large bed and a desk.
I noticed the corridors were being repainted. Some areas had a slight paint odor.
