confusing signagedry fishcakes

The hotel signage was confusing. There was no clear indication at the entrance that reception was inside. The car park was labeled 'Residents Parking ' so I drove around. I eventually figured out it was also . I booked dinner. The starters were a bit disappointing. The fishcakes were dry.

the breakfast choices were varied and plentiful.

my room was in a separate building, and the decor seemed a bit old. the mattress had a noticeable dip. maintenance could improve some areas, like the grout in the bathroom, it was falling out.

Check-in was efficient. I received a complimentary room upgrade to a garden room. It was an absolute delight. The room was spacious and beautifully furnished with a large bed and seating area. I saw deer in the garden. This was a treat. The corridors looked fresh. The gym is well equipped.

The corridor between changing rooms and the pool wasn't very clean!

the room upgrade to a garden room with a patio was such a treat. it was peaceful, and i saw muntjac deer. i also spotted a red kite and even a great tit (it tapped on the dining room window every morning!). the well chosen things with a large bed and a desk.

I noticed the corridors were being repainted. Some areas had a slight paint odor.
