clean roommissing pillow menupeeling paintwork
the room was clean and spacious.
The advertised pillow menu was nowhere to be found, it's a blatant misrepresentation! also, some light bulbs weren't working. it's as if no one checks these things! furthermore, the paintwork was in poor condition. It's all chipping and peeling.

a decent stay overall
enjoyable mealcomfortable roomtired menustandard bread
the evening meal WAS WELL presented and enjoyable. i also found the large room comfortable and clean. MANY thoughtful extras like fresh milk in the fridge were included.
sadly the hotel seems TO BE living on a past reputation. the lunch menu included a very BAD cheese toastie made with standard sliced bread.

The bedroom was large with a beautiful view. the spaniels were welcome. food was fantastic. There is a new chief. tea was enormous with sandwiches, bacon and cheese croissants, sausage rolls, bhajees, scones and cakes.
the hotel is overall VERY tired and in need of updating.

the building and its location are beautiful. parking is easy and convenient. i found all staff were polite and helpful. it is a relaxing venue after a long journey.

delicious food was available , and the evening meal pleased everyone. breakfast was scrumptious with a great choice. smoked haddock IS a must. lovely staff were attentive and couldn't do enough.

the friendliness of ALL staff was excellent. we had a large comfortable bedroom. my two spaniels were made welcome and pampered. the food experience was fantastic, and the staff ensured all needs were met.
