The location seems beautiful. The castle itself seems amazing to me. The spa was lovely and relaxing. My room in the lodge felt very nice and comfortable.
The bathtub looked really high. It worked fine for us as we are younger. I would not recommend the restaurant. I should have made sure to eat before my arrival as there is nothing nearby to go to.

Real Castle Experience!

My husband received a stay as birthday gift, he loves history. The four poster room felt lovely. It had super clean bathroom with nice toiletries. The Dungeon restaurant offered an excellent meal. Afternoon tea tasted delicious at the Orangery.
The four poster bed keeps me awake at night. Any movement makes the frame shakes a frightening amount. The window frame and paintwork looked tired and cracked. The hotel appears worn and tired.

Themed rooms include stone walls. Amenities are top notch and the decor feels like straight out of the movies. Beds are luxurious, but movements cause some bed frames to creak.

The Falconry offers falconry and archery. The spa includes a sauna and whirlpool. I liked the grounds a lot.
