poor guest attention slow bar service

the service was definitely not what i expect from a so-called 5 star hotel. staff seemed uninterested and werent attentive. at check-in, i wasnt fully informed about the hotel facilities and layout. also, getting a drink in the evening was a nightmare because only 1 bar was open with just 2 staff, resulting in very slow service for all the cocktails being ordered. poor guest attention, slow bar service

a marvelous stay!

modern room daily service themed evening shuttle service

the room was modern and very clean (i really liked the décor!). i had a beautiful king room with a balcony that gave beautiful views of the sea. the daily cleaning service ensured a consistently fresh environment. the staff greeted us with champagne and fruit, a really nice touch after a long trip. we also really enjoyed the many activities available for adults and children. the hotel offered several themed evenings, it added some flavor to our stay. the pools were spacious with clean water. finding a sun lounger was never a problem, even during peak hours. the gardens were well kept and offered nice places to walk. the food was plentiful with many options. we tried the buffet and the poolside restaurant for lunch, i was really impressed with both. the buffet offered fresh ingredients. i especially liked the local portuguese dishes. the service was attentive. the staff always greeted me with a smile. joanna at reception was really good with her professional service. the shuttle to the beach was convenient, it saved us a lot of time and energy.

i noticed one slight issue. the gym didn't have enough free weights for intense workouts.

terrible food quality simple buffet

The breakfast was acceptable, I must say. At least they have fast elevators.

This place claims to be a five-star hotel. I think that is generous. The food quality was terrible. The meals tasted like they were prepared long before. The buffet seemed too simple. The pool area was chaotic.
