beautiful grounds varied choices large room historical significance
The hotel grounds feature beautiful landscaping. Breakfast included varied choices. I appreciated the large room. The hotel has historical significance.
I noticed the gym equipment could use an update.

palatial charm, slight letdown
complimentary port delicious breakfast free parking
I enjoyed the complimentary port wine upon arrival. breakfast was delicious and plentiful. the pool was excellent. I appreciated free parking .
i noticed a cash point machine. its presence felt a bit out of place, not really contributing to the decor.

The room was quiet and clean. it was comfortable. the beds had great linens. I slept well. the spaciousness of the room allowed me to relax, and i appreciated the daily housekeeping.

gorgeous building great breakfast first class tours
the building was gorgeous. the breakfast was great!!! the tours that the hotel recommended were first class. i loved my beautiful double or twin room river view.

underwhelming stay. expected more.
slow service below average coffee
I found several issues . the breakfast service was very slow. It was difficult to get anyone to bring coffee. a coffee machine was available, but the coffee it made was below average in quality. also, it wasn't clear in the description that our room was in a separate building from the main palace. it was disappointing.

mixed experience at this hotel
air conditioner water pressure
the grounds were nicely groomed and the staff was cute i did get a free upgrade.
the air conditioner barely worked in may i do not know how people survive in summer the water pressure in the shower was terrible and the rooms are dark.
