disorganized breakfastlimiting policy

The breakfast service was disorganized. We were asked about our preference for à la carte or buffet before sitting down. The staff told us we could only choose one, which seemed unnecessary. This policy made little sense to me. The hotel should offer a flat rate for the buffet and charge extra for à la carte options, similar to most hotels. It would be much better.
