excellent hotel near shops

friendly staffgood breakfastexcellent showermissing air conditioning
the hotel was very clean. i checked in late, and the staff were friendly. breakfast had a nice selection, it was from 7am to 10am (a great timeframe). the room had an excellent shower, which i used daily. shops and restaurants were very close, and the hotel parking was useful.
there was no air conditioning in the room, inconvenient on a hot day. i called to request a fan, but i had to call repeatedly. this delay affected my comfort during the night. i wish the room had better ventilation.
Service
9/10
the reception staff offered helpful assistance upon my arrival, especially since i arrived late. the breakfast service ran efficiently each morning, with staff keeping the buffet well-stocked. i appreciated their attentiveness to guest needs.
Rooms
8/10
the double room was a good size, providing enough space for my luggage and me to relax comfortably. the shower had excellent water pressure and temperature (that helped a lot). it was clean daily by the housekeeping staff, who maintained a good standard of cleanliness.
Location
9/10
the hotel's location provided easy access to many nearby shops and restaurants. the proximity to the town center made exploring convenient, and i walked everywhere. having on-site parking was a definite bonus, as it eliminated the hassle of finding parking elsewhere.

The location had convenient access to nearby restaurants and pubs.
I found the cost of parking excessive. It feels like taking advantage of guests. Cheaper rates for hotel residents would be a reasonable solution. I felt a bit exploited.
