Review summary
Based on recent reviews
Powered by AI
Guests consistently praise the beautifully designed complex of Portavadie Loch Fyne, especially the well-equipped kitchens in the apartments and bungalow-style accommodations, which offer the flexibility of eating in or out. The stunning views from all areas, particularly the infinity pool overlooking Loch Fyne towards Arran, are a highlight for many. While some have noted that the king-size bed in their room felt like two singles pushed together, the close proximity to the Tarbert ferry adds to the appeal, enabling easy excursions.

dusty apartment badly patched tile
The bungalow included french doors opening to outdoor garden furniture and a large grass area beyond. This suited my needs.
the reception welcome felt sombre, setting a poor tone for my stay. i was assigned a studio apartment and discovered it was dusty, with badly patched tile work in the bathroom. the fridge was also grubby, and the dishwasher had a bad odour. it generally was quite tired and in need of a freshening.

relaxing pool helpful staff excellent food gluten-free options
i visited with friends for a two-night escape. the pool area provided much relaxation and the staff were helpful. i found the food to be excellent. the restaurant accommodated us despite our late arrival and offered great gluten-free options.
i found it difficult to find the location at night. arriving in the dark, i struggled with directions until a local helped me.

superior double room equipped kitchen fine view single beds faulty wifi faulty duvet
the room was a superior double room. the kitchen had everything needed (i could choose to eat in). the surroundings of the main complex had fine views.
the king size bed seemed like two singles pushed together. the duvet cover reminded me of two singles zipped together. the wifi was down, so i could not watch tv (this was quite disappointing).
