expensive stay with some issues

stained clothesinconsistent service
i was a bit let down by a few things. the pool's blue paint stained clothes, that was unexpected and ruined some of my items. also, the room service was inconsistent. i had to ask for turn down service repeatedly and it still didn't always happen (it's supposedly a five star hotel).

the staff was courteous. the breakfast had a great variety of options. the hotel had clay tennis courts and a grass court. they were free to use.
The hotel is expensive. Prices across the board feel like a constant upsell. a bottle of water cost €8. the hotel is fairly isolated. A small bar is about 20 minutes walk away.

the hotel rooms were beautifully appointed and really clean. the attention to detail in housekeeping was consistently excellent. there was a sense of openness and light throughout the hotel. i was recognised and upgraded which reinforced my loyalty to the brand.

the hotel is well maintained and clean. it has access to the beach, a plus. the breakfast buffet offered a wide choice of food. the staff were excellent, especially adrian, who was a great conversation partner (i enjoyed our chats a lot!). the head concierge, david. he helped organize sightseeing trips at the last minute. he also guided one of the trips, a highlight of the stay. there is no club lounge here.

the reception staff were consistently helpful and polite throughout my stay. concierge services were available 24/7 to assist with any queries or requests. daily housekeeping kept the rooms super clean and well-kept.
