i found the grounds lovely. the breakfast was fantastic and bar areas felt very cosy, we loved the food. i also found a beautiful getaway with serene surroundings in this traditional hotel.

the hotel wants to be superior. it falls short too many times, i think. the pool area was quite poor with insufficient lighting, i thought it needed updating.

I found all staff members happy and helpful from arrival to departure. our room overlooked the golf course and featured a luxurious bed. the receptionists were friendly and asked about our stay. I also appreciated ryan at the bar on saturday night. (i might come back just for that bed!)

the hotel is located remotely. i found it inconvenient to carry luggage up a floor to reach the lift.

I found the gardens were fine. I particularly appreciated the carefully maintained grounds. the free golf access added value. I noticed it was a nine-hole course. the food in the restaurant had relaxed me, and the atmosphere felt comfortable and inviting.

The pillows were a little too soft for my liking. I prefer something firmer but it didn't impact my overall rest.
