charming getaway

the staff was always friendly. they helped with any request. our check-in and check-out was easy. the location was great, near many good food and drink choices. the sister hotel had a gym i used. it was clean and the housekeeping staff were attentive.

the breakfast room offered a good balance between european and american options. coffee and juices were available. i particularly enjoyed pistachio profiteroles with raspberries from the restaurant, it tasted delicious.

the staffs kindness i will never forget, they were wonderful. i enjoyed the rooftop bar, such beautiful views. our room included a comfy chair and lovely desk. this was perfect for writing love letters.
the pillows were slightly firm for my liking, but i did eventually get used to it.

The reception staff proved friendly and helpful. They provided useful suggestions for exploring the area. I appreciated the USB sockets next to the bed, very convenient (it made charging my devices easy).
I found the breakfast offerings quite underwhelming. The scrambled eggs seemed rubbery, like they sat out too long. Noise from the rooftop bar was loud, especially when chairs were dragged around. I found this disruptive.
