The Royal Canadian Lodge is often praised for its convenient location, a short walk from the heart of Banff and its attractions, including Banff Avenue. Guests appreciate the spacious rooms, with some mentioning the convenience of having both a tub and a separate toilet area in the bathroom. Underground parking is a definite plus, especially with the windshield cleaning service during snowy days; however, some guests have noted that the decor could use an update. The pool and hot tub area are also commonly enjoyed by visitors.

The location is good and within walking distance to the downtown area, providing convenient access to various amenities.
The reception staff was quite poor. Upon arrival, the receptionist was chatting on the phone and was inconvenienced by our presence. The most expensive hotel during my trip had the worst satisfaction score, a major letdown.

I found the front desk staff very cute upon arrival. The spacious room included a comfortable bed. I also appreciated the convenient parking facility. The hotel staff promptly delivered a non-slip mat for the shower after I requested it.
I noticed our room's air conditioning was a bit loud, which slightly disrupted the otherwise quiet setting.
